Matinee concert featuring Emőke Baráth, Nóra Baráth, József Balog, and Péter Tóth
The program features works written for a soprano-French horn-piano trio, which contemporary composers have dedicated to Emőke Baráth and Nóra Baráth. It is a kind of mission to show that contemporary Hungarian chamber music is not only accessible but can also be truly beautiful—which is why it’s worth keeping an open mind toward contemporary music. In addition to works by living composers, the program will also feature a song cycle and piano pieces by Miklós Kocsár. The concert will be hosted by composer Péter Tóth, who will introduce the works and speak with the composers.
